While all the French headliners are focused on the  French Championships  this weekend in Kingersheim,  Laura Buteau (202)  took another direction. The Frenchwoman chose to align herself with  FIP Silver Lisboa  with the Brazilian  Helena Rousselet Novillo (218) .

Their entry into the competition went as expected: a solid victory against the pair from the qualifications,  Elena Schiattelli (607) / Maria Carracha (541) . Buteau and Rousselet imposed their status as favorites with a 6/4 6/3 victory. A first step taken which opens the doors to the  round of XNUMX .

And this time, the challenge looks quite different. The two players will face off against the  seeded 4 ,  Lorena Vano (79) / Alba Pérez Momha (65) , duo of the  world top 80 . The match is scheduled for  second rotation at 11 a.m. (French time)  on the  field 10 .

Buteau, who has never yet reached the 8th round in  FIP Silver , will have the opportunity to treat yourself to a  first quarter-final But for that, it will be necessary to play a very big match against a pair that is the favorite on paper.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
