Heavy at the 37th Spanish Championship of padel by teams

The Spanish Championships of padel by teams 2021 will take place this weekend in Barcelona, at RC Polo, we expect a big party with many WPT players!

The 37th Spanish Championships of padel team starts this Friday March 19, 2021

Waiting the resumption of World Padel Tour, we're going to be able to see some of the best players from padel of the world at work this weekend, as part of the 37th Spanish Championships padel by teams of the first category. Like last year, it is at the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona that the meetings will take place.

Tomorrow Friday March 19 2021, Those are more than 200 players who will be at work at the club where Fernando Belasteguin and Lucia Sainz are licensed in particular! The two WPT players were present for the official presentation, alongside the President of the FEP, Ramon Morcillo, the President of the Catalan Federation, Pere Hernandez, the director of the Catalan Sports Council, Toni Reig, and the head of the section. padel from RC Polo, Ricky Cabot.

The President of the FEP congratulated all the institutions which made it possible to organize this competition in this difficult period,: “It is never easy to organize such a competition, but it is even more complicated during a pandemic.” Morcillo had a special word for the RC Polo: “You can clearly see the desire of Polo to do things right.”

Many WPT stars present

Remember that the matches are played for the best of 5 matches, each team must therefore present 10 players in each round.

At men's, 5 teams will be present to try to succeed Playa de Somo Central. The RC Polo will start as the favorite in view of the players present: Fernando Belasteguin of course, but also Pablo Lima, Agustin Tapia, Franco Stupaczuk, Maxi Sanchez, Javi Ruiz, Coki Nieto, or even Javi Rico: a real dream-team!

But beware, there will be competition, especially at Rivapadel-Covibar II, where we find Paquito Navarro, Juan Tello, Agustin Gomez Silingo, Javi Garrido, or even Momo Gonzalez!

In the ladies, the Polo players will be favorites to take over, since they also have a real armada: Gemma Triay, Alejandra Salazar, Lucia Sainz, Marta Marrero, Ariana Sanchez, Eli Amatriain, Patty Llaguno ...

But there again, one team in particular seems able to worry them: that of Tenis Chamartin, which has in its ranks the twins Alayeto, Paula Josemaria, Veronica Virseda, Ana Catarina Nogueira, Cata Tenorio, Barbara Las Heras ...
