The XII South American Games to be held next October will offer for the first time padel. The International Federation of Padel announced it last night on the sidelines of the semi-finals of Mendoza Premier Padel.
This event is one of the most important sporting events in Latin America. It brings together many sports including some disciplines that are not yet part of the Olympic program such as bowling, karate and now padel.
The first edition of these games was held in November 1978. Like the Olympic Games, the South American Games are a multi-sport competition held every four years.
Only countries that are part of ODESUR (The South American Sports Organization, which is an association of National Olympic Committees in South America) can participate in these games.
These XII South American Games will be held from October 1 to 15, 2022 in Asunción, Paraguay.
