In the 32nd final du Dubai Premier Padel P1, both Johan Bergeron and Bastien Blanqué faced two Spanish also from the qualifications, Namely Miguel Gonzalez et Anton Sanz. Unfortunately, the French pair lost in 3 sets. (6/4 4/6 6/2)
A sluggish first set
With a little luck, the Spanish entry break Johan Bergeron and Bastien Blanqué. Then, the two Spaniards easily win their service game, unlike the “BB” who have difficulty getting into the match and make too many mistakes, thus being double-broken. But at 4/0, French are starting to play better, they are more comfortable on high balls and Blanked takes up more space on the ground, unlike the Spanish who relax. The French thus make up for all their delay by winning 4 games in a row. However, at 4/4, the French make two stupid mistakes that cost them the break. The Spaniards serve and conclude the set solidly 6/4.
A dominant second set
In the second set, the French continue their momentum and put pressure on the Spanish. Blanked et Bergeron do not relax their efforts, which allows them to break through 3/2. Despite a break in the aftermath following a dispute, the French continued to dominate the set, allowing them to re-break in the aftermath and go for the set with the score of 6/4.
The Spanish are accelerating
In the third decisive set, Spanish speed up the game, unlike the French who make mistakes, certainly tired from the efforts made, which costs them two breaks. 2/5, Spanish don't shake and win the set 6/2.
Final Score: 4 / 6 6 / 4 2 / 6
After a great journey in qualifications, "BB" are eliminated in 32th final du Dubai Premier Padel P1. Anton Sanz et Miguel Gonzalez will play their next round against the World number 1 Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
