Today, Bastien Blanqué et Johan Bergeron were playing their second qualifying match for the Dubai Premier Padel P1, with the possibility of accessing the final table in the event of victory.
Opposed to the Spanish Pablo Castillo Valverde (122) et Candido Jorge Alfaro (145), the two Frenchmen delivered an intense match, finally winning in three sets.
After a first set played and won at tie-breaker, Blanqué and Bergeron conceded the second set. In a tense third set, they managed to regain the advantage and win 7/6, 3/6, 7/5, thus securing their place in the main draw.
Their next opponent is not yet known. Blanqué and Bergeron will have to wait until the end of the qualifiers to find out which team they will face in the round of 32.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
