Alix Collombon  et  Jana Montes  have launched their tournament perfectly at  Premier Padel Dubai P1 , by prevailing at the end of a battle of  2:37  face  Ksenia Sharifova  et  Marina lobo  (7/5 2/6 6/4).
A tense, balanced match, won through sheer willpower by the Lyon player and her Spanish partner.

A battle to the bitter end

The two teams delivered a high-level duel:  that many points earned (50% each) But there was a difference in the key moments. Collombon and Montes knew how to convert  50% of their break points , against  only 32%  for their opponents.
At 5/5 in the first set, they made the decisive break, before losing the second set.
In the third set, they continued to apply pressure, leading 4-3 and earning three break points but failing to convert them. However, in the following return game, they finally broke serve at the perfect moment.  5/4 to conclude the meeting.

Place in the round of 16

In the round of 16, the French and Spanish players will meet again.  Marina Guinart  et  Verónica Virseda  (8th seed), victorious without faltering in  Marta Caparrós / Águeda Pérez Ortiz (6/1 6/2) .
A major challenge for Collombon and Montes against a confident pair, quarter-finalists at  Newgiza  and  World Pairs Championship .
But after this great victory, the Franco-Spanish pair can approach this match without any hang-ups.
