The health crisis currently raging in France and in Europe is forcing the French Tennis Federation to postpone the presidential election.

Scheduled for December 12, 2020, the election to the presidency of the French Tennis Federation must be postponed because of the Covid-19 health crisis. The FFT made this known in a press release:

"The epidemiological state of our country, its sudden deterioration and the decisions of the public authorities announced by the President of the Republic, which were the subject of Decree No. 2020-1310 of October 29, 2020, very significantly modify the context in which the Comex (executive committee, editor's note) had decided to maintain the date of the elective General Assembly on December 12, 2020 and therefore the upstream calendar for the designation of the delegates to sit there. Also, the Comex, after considering the opinion delivered on November 2, 2020 by the Federal Commission for the Supervision of Electoral Operations, decided to postpone the elective General Assembly to February 13, 2021, after having voted the resolution "

So this is the 13th February 2021 that the election will ultimately take place. We are entitled to think that if the health situation does not develop positively in France, a new postponement will certainly have to be considered.

Recall that the current president, Bernard Giudicelli, is a candidate for re-election, and that in front of him is Gilles Moreton.
