Where are the United Arab Emirates at the 2024 World Championships?

There were still the classification matches to play and the United Arab Emirates handled them masterfully. It started with a victory over Chile, then with a clean victory against Brazil, thus giving them fifth place in these World Championships.

In two years, the country has gone from 17th place (as a reminder, there were 17 teams selected for the 2022 World Championships) to 5th place. Some will say that the Emirates have chosen the easy method. Naturalize Spanish players to compensate for the national level which has not evolved much since the last World Cup... which took place in the country!

However, The United Arab Emirates were seen as a potential danger this year…and it was confirmed! Apart from the four largest nations (Spain, Argentina, Italy and Portugal), Few teams would have been able to defeat this Emirati armada…not even the French.
