Paraguay: the country of football and tennis

Who says Mondial also says football. And it is sometimes an opportunity for a country to make itself known.

For a whole generation of French football aficionados, Paraguay is Jose Luis Chilavert, one of the greatest football goalkeepers of all time and emblematic captain of the Albiroja selection of 1998…

For the Tennismen, some will remember Victor Pecci, surprising finalist of a 1979 Roland Garros where only the great Bjorn Borg had been victorious over the courageous and talented Paraguayan.

Mr. Pecci who has recently been appointed Minister of Sports and who happens to be a great fan of Padel and which we will talk about soon on Padel Magazine.

Paraguay: A traditional country

Of Hispanic language of course, Paraguay has the specificity of having preserved and brought to life its traditions and its language, Guarani. Do not be surprised therefore if despite your mastery of Spanish, you do not understand everything, many expressions and native words mingle in conversations.

Paraguayan can also be recognized by its Termos de Terere, from which it seldom separates. This invigorating herb is drunk throughout the day so as not to become dehydrated because the Paraguayan climate is very hot and humid.

There are only two seasons in Paraguay, the hot season and the very hot season…. As they point out, smiling.

After this brief presentation, we invite you to come back for more focus. Padelistics on Padel Magazine and thus get back to the heart of the matter, vamos Francia, viva Paraguay!
