The rumor has been growing since the beginning of the summer, and it is now official: the Ruiz/Bergamini pair are separating after two years of competing together in padel tournaments.

Victor Ruiz did an announcement on Twitter, suggesting that he is not at the origin of this decision. He expressed his regret by saying: “We are at a moment in our sport where we are only looking for immediate results, without patience, without thinking in the long term, without giving projects time to stabilize..."

They were also the longest-lived active pair on the international circuit.

They started the year in eighth place in the FIP rankings, but are now ranked 21st and 22nd. Indeed, the year 2024 had not brought them luck, their best result being a quarter-final at Genova Premier Padel P2 at the beginning of July.

Bergamini will now be associated with Juanlu Esbri. The latter being currently paired with Javier Rico, there may still be changes. As for Victor Ruiz, no announcement has been made.
