While this is only the first participation for France in a world championship of padel juniors, the least we can say is that it is causing a sensation on the grounds of Castellon in Spain.

Eric Quillet, the assistant coach of the French teams of padel tells us :

Objective much more than fulfilled since the two teams of France reach the quarters. We are not going to hide it, the rest of the French adventure could continue even if we do not know the opposing teams so well.

For girls, Sweden was desired. It was the draw we were hoping for. It is the most accessible nation for France. And among the boys, we prayed to fall on Portugal, even if it is a very difficult team to play.

We went back to the block. It will be very difficult of course. The girls achieve a perfect course and makes the task easier. She will be in a definitely favorite position. Be careful not to let down the guard. The coaches are very vigilant and obviously Patrick Fouquet, the captain, does everything to put the girls in the best arrangements tomorrow morning (Thursday 10h) against Sweden.

In boys, there is both the joy of not falling on Spain or Argentina that we prefer to face as late as possible in the competition, but we know that against Portugal, it will be very difficult. France will not be a favorite in this opposition. Everything is obviously possible, and the boys are back as ever because it is a unique opportunity to hope to reach the half.
