The French men's team will compete in the FIP Junior Euro final Padel The 2026 World Cup kicks off this Saturday at 10am. The French U21 team dominated Portugal in the semi-final, while Spain defeated Italy. A dream final now awaits the French, with several matches already hinting at a chance for revenge. 

France's U21 team defeats Portugal

France once again rose to the occasion in a major tournament. Facing host nation Portugal, the French U21 team secured their place in the final with a 2-1 victory.

The match began with a huge fight between  Simeo Debroy and Gabriel Bessière  and the solid Portuguese pair  Morales / Afonso Despite putting up a good fight, the French were defeated.  4/6 7/5 6/3 .

With their backs against the wall, the French U21 team responded perfectly.  Sacha Huard de La Marre and Nathan Perrot  brought the two teams level by delivering a very solid performance against  Aniceto / De Almeida , with a victory  6 / 4 6 / 0 .

Everything came down to the third match. And as has often been the case since the start of the competition,  Olivier Guy de Chamisso and Jérémy Robert  answered the call. The winners of the FIP Bronze in Marnes left no chance for  Simões / Araujo , imposing  6 / 2 6 / 2  to send France to the final.

In the other semi-final, Spain dominated Italy  3 - 0 .

The Spanish kicked off the match with  Gil / Estevez , winners  6 / 2 6 / 2  face  Filetti / Temperini .

Then  Iago Fuertes / Unaz Arranz Maestre  confirmed their dominance by winning  6 / 2 7 / 5  salary.  Battilani / Menotti .

Finally  Juan Zamora / Samuel Rivas  concluded the work by dominating  Riso / Laurino   6 / 2 6 / 1 .

Spain therefore reaches the final without having conceded a single point to Italy.

One of the most anticipated duels could pit  Sacha Huard de La Marre and Nathan Perrot  à  Iago Fuertes and Unax Arranz The Spanish prodigy had made a strong impression this season at  FIP Silver of Caen where he had reached the quarter-finals after eliminating  Gonzalo Rubio  et  Victor Ruiz , two players in the world's Top 40.

But the match that's already making mouths water is the U18 one.  Jérémy Robert and Olivier Guy de Chamisso could reunite with Samuel Rivas , whom they had beaten in the final of the FIP Bronze in Marnes, after having notably eliminated  Juan Zamora  in the semi-finals. The French then went on to win their first international title. Spain will undoubtedly be eager for revenge.

If the two nations are level before this final match, the atmosphere could become absolutely electric. All the ingredients are there for a top-level European final.
