Here are final results and rankings by nation of the European Championships Padel 2024, which took place from July 22 to 27 at the Cagliari Tennis Club in Sardinia (Italy).

Among the ladies and gentlemen, there were no real surprises. Indeed, before the competition, Padel Magazine offered you an analysis of the strength of each team (top 6) :

gentlemen

  1. Spain
  2. Italy
  3. France
  4. Sweden
  5. Belgium
  6. Portugal

Women

  1. Spain
  2. Italy
  3. France
  4. Portugal
  5. Sweden
  6. Belgium

Bottom line: relatively few surprises. The big loser of this Euro is obviously Belgium. This nation, which seemed well equipped to offer itself at least a place in the main draw of Euro 2024, had to face a “death hen” both for ladies and gentlemen.

Spain remains true to its reputation and dominated these European Championships without difficulty.

Italy achieved a silver double. Second nation in terms of team weight, it responded, despite the big scares against France.

France, among the ladies, started and finished in a superb third place. For the men, she was a few points away from a final but ultimately finished fourth. A place lost compared to its initial position which obviously constitutes a “disappointment".

Portugal finished brilliantly in third place among the men, while their team weight placed them in sixth position. Found in the famous “group of death”, Portugal, despite a lack of homogeneity, has often achieved exploits thanks in particular to the Deus brothers, impeccable all week and to the players Luque and Araujo.

Among the ladies, the same observation: the players Araujo and Nogueira are formidable. However, Portugal has some small flaws that force it to divide its best troops. Winning bet against Sweden and Belgium. Against France, Portugal even allowed itself to line up Katia Rodrigues (who is obviously much better than her 863rd place in the FIP ranking) alongside Ana Catarina Nogueira twice (for 2 defeats), an association which found her limits in the face of the French team's strategy and won against experienced players.

Finally, the Netherlands and Sweden are the other two nations to have climbed to fifth and sixth place.

Unsurprisingly, we find Croatia in last position for the men and Lithuania for the women.
