Buoyed by their home crowd, the Spanish women did not waver. With typically Iberian fervor, flags and trumpets in support, the Spanish women's team qualified for the final ofand the Euro Padel Cup, equivalent of the 14th European Team Championship, where she will face France.

The Spanish victory took the form of a passing of the baton between generations. Lucia Sainz, former world number 1 (40 years old), Marina Guinart, born in 1996, and the young duo Andrea Ustero / Alejandra Alonso, born in 2007 and 2006 respectively, have demonstrated the depth of the Spanish reservoir. Three generations around the same objective: to continue to reign over European padel.

In front of them, Italy de Marcela Ferrari played without complexes after his defeat against France. But the step was too high. In the first match, Ustero / Alonso quickly imposed their rhythm against Sussarello / Stellato, imposing 6 / 1 6 / 3. In the second meeting, Sainz / Calvo were hung by Dal Pozzo / Marchetti, who managed to come back from 3-5 down in the second set to earn a tie-break. Despite this momentum, the Spanish concluded 6/1 7/6(3), thus sealing the qualification.

At the end of the meeting, Andrea Ustero confided: "We are happy to have given this point to Spain, especially here at home. And it is a pleasure to play again with Alejandra, my long-time partner, 'La Turqui'!"
Alejandra Alonso added: "It's a luxury to play here, in front of so many fans. Their energy carries us forward, and representing these colors remains a huge source of pride."

Make no mistake, unless there is a real cataclysm, Spain will have, as always, gone through the European Championships, even with a reserve team, without losing a single set, and without having really played at 100%.France team did the job perfectly and can enjoy this final to the fullest without pressure. She will have her well-deserved silver medal, while Italy will play for the bronze medal against Belgium.
