The FIP Promises of Paris, an international showcase

A month and a half from  FIP Promises Paris by WME , Fabien underlines the importance of this event for France:
"It's already a  national recognition  : France is now a key player on the padel scene. This tournament highlights the work undertaken by the  federation, leagues and clubs Guillaume and JT, who are behind the project, have put in place a real driving force for the development of young padel.

Facing the Spanish or the Argentinians, the bar remains high: "They have  40 to 50 players per category , only three or four of us are really above the rest. But we are progressing quickly."

Fabien is particularly following  Lucas  et  Marine , two promising youngsters. "Lucas has a chance in the U14s even though the level is enormous. Marin, partnered with Léon in the U12s, will discover this category. At these ages, a year's difference is enormous, both physically and in terms of experience."

French talents to watch

For the future, Fabien cites several names:

  •  Sacha Huard from La Marre  (U14)
  •  Nathan Perrot  (U16)
  •  Marin Le Saux , who chose to leave tennis to devote himself fully to padel
  • But also the young people of the  CNE  as  Sacha Devriendt  et  Elliot Mura without forgetting  Olivier Guy de Chamiso , Or the  recent French champions Feryel and Neila Bekhedda  and  Loann Jovasevic .

"We have a few players capable of shining in this international context. Now we need to give them the means to progress," he insists.

"We will have this year  8 main steps  compared to 12 last year, but we are adding a new feature: a  circuit challenge  of 12 youth tournaments, aimed at new players and those discovering competition,” explains Fabien.

In total, more than  20 youth tournaments  will be offered, with an opening to the category  U12  : “Last year, we brought together  nearly 120 players , an exceptional figure. And above all, a  high female participation rate , with several active and successful players.

New projects: referents, interclub and structuring

The league is preparing new projects:

  • The constitution of a  team of sector referents , in order to improve detection and significantly increase the  overall training volume  at the regional level.
