This week, the French are poorly represented on the two FIP tournaments on the program. The first event, the FIP Bronze La Cala, account six French players registered, while the second, the FIP Bronze San Antonio in Chile, will not see any tricolor on the slopes.

FIP Bronze La Cala: some French hopes

At the men, alone two French players will be in the running, starting their journey in qualifying:

  • Derek Gerson, who will team up with Spaniard Gerard Marti Morales.
  • Harold Bernard, accompanied by Luxembourger Clément Pelt.

At the Women, we note a slightly more marked presence with four French women engaged:

  • Amelie Detriviere, partnered with Spaniard Gemma Flores Saucedo, will start directly in the main draw.
  • The pair Steffi Merah and Melissa Martin, 100% French, will also play in the final table.
  • Laura Buteau, for her part, will try to qualify accompanied by the Argentine Morena Nicole Suarez.

FIP Bronze San Antonio: French absence

For the second FIP tournament of the week, which takes place in San Antonio, in Chile, no French player made the trip, certainly prioritizing training and rest following the P2000 Impact stadium La Rochelle where many big French names were present.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
