In the document PRACTICAL GUIDE PLAN 5 PROXIMITY EQUIPMENT, the National Association of Elected Officials in charge of Sport (ANDES) and the FFT establish a plan padel.

The Olympics: a boon for sport

Frédéric SANAUR, the Director General of ANDES looks back on the ambitions and projects by 2024:

The Olympic and Paralympic Games of Paris 2024, organized in our country in less than three years, will put sport, its benefits and its values at the center of all attention. The Games will work to advance the place of sport in our society.

This ambitious and unprecedented program (a budget of nearly €200 million) should enable us, by 2024, to accompany and support projects for the creation or rehabilitation of 5 local sports facilities in mainland France and overseas. Requalification of premises into “solidarity” dojos, martial arts or boxing halls, creation of multi-sports platforms (city stadiums), 000×3 basketball courts and padel, skate parks, mobile swimming pools…

“An ambitious strategy”

In France the padel has been booming since the early 2000s and the number of practitioners has continued to grow since the FFT obtained ministerial delegation in 2014.

The FFT wishes more than ever to develop this booming practice via its affiliated and authorized clubs.
