From August 2025 , the French Tennis Federation updates its assimilation rules for the FFT padel ranking , with the aim of better reflecting the real level of players, whether they are foreign or French, former tennis players, or active on international circuits such as the FIP Premier Padel ou A1 Padel .
Objective: greater fairness between player profiles
The FFT wants to ensure that any player starting or returning to the system has a FFT padel ranking consistent with your level of play , especially if he has already performed internationally or in another discipline such as tennis.
These classification assimilations concern several profiles:
- Players ranked on the FIP circuit Premier Padel
- Tour players A1 Padel
- Players who had a good FFT tennis ranking
- Players previously ranked in FFT padel ranking
- Players who have been selected for the national team
Automatic assimilation for the best French FIP
Now the FIP ranking is integrated into the FFT hierarchy:
- At the Men , any French player ranked in the Top 300 FIPs at the time of publication of the FFT ranking will be assigned an FFT ranking ranging from 1 to N .
- At the Women , this rule applies to Top 200 FIPs , with a numbering of 1 to N .
This allows international performances to be valued directly in the national ranking.

FIP assimilations for other players

Example for men:
- A ranked player 101st FIP in 2025 will be assimilated 10th FFT
- A ranked player 401th FIP will be assimilated 50th FFT
- Outside the top 600 FIP: no assimilation possible
For women :
- A ranked player 51th FIP in 2025 will be assimilated 3th FFT
- A 251st FIP will have an FFT ranking of 30

Example in men:
- Former 1st tennis series → 600th padel
- Former 3/6 to 15 → between 7.500 and 20.000 depending on the year

Example in women:
- Ancient 2nd numbered tennis series → between 150 and 1.500 FFT padel
