This is a turning point in women's padel.  Lucia Sainz  et  Patty Llaguno , one of the most experienced and respected pairs on the circuit, announced their split after the  Premier Padel Milan P1 , where they will play their last tournament together.

An iconic pair of the circuit

Trained in  September 2023 , the association between the  Barcelonan  and the  Cartagena , old  world number 1 , will have spent more than two seasons in a circuit where stability has become rare. Together, they embodied the  Constance  In a circuit dominated by changes of partners, Sainz and Llaguno resisted with a strong bond and intact complicity until the end.

Emotional farewells

In a heartfelt message posted on Instagram,  Lucia Sainz  confirmed the news with emotion:

“The Milan tournament will be the last one I will play alongside Patricia Llaguno. They have been years of work, dedication, and mutual learning. I will remember everything we experienced together from this stage. Now it is time to face new challenges with the same enthusiasm as on the first day.”

A new chapter to come

After a short break, the two Spanish women  will each go their separate ways  since the  New Giza P2 (October 27 – November 1) , where they will make their debut with new partners. Objective:  remain competitive in an increasingly demanding women's circuit Now it remains to be seen who they will play with.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
