After a flawless run, the French pair Bastien Blanqué / Johan Bergeron finally fell in semi final du FIP Bronze Abidjan. A frustrating defeat against the pair Simone Iacovino / Giulio Graziotti (TS3) on the score of 4/6 6/4 7/5.

The French had started their tournament well with two quick victoriesIn the eighth finals, they left no chance to the Ivorians. Ange Gamaliel Nguessan / Jean Paul Nassar, imposing itself on a 6 / 0 6 / 0.

Then, in the quarter-finals, Blanqué and Bergeron had continued with a convincing victory 6/2 6/0 facing the 6th seed, Mohamed Michel Hussein Khachab / Aly Zaghloul.

In the semi-final, the confrontation against Iacovino / Graziotti was tense. After winning the first set 6/4, the Tricolores seemed to be on the right track. But their opponents knew how to react to equalize at a set everywhere by winning the second round 6/4.

Le third set was a combat acharne but they are ultimately Iacovino and Graziotti who were able to make the difference in key moments to win 7/5.

For the French, this defeat is a setback. As seeded 1, their ambition was to reach the final. Despite everything, they came across a pair solid.

We will find Johan Bergeron starting this week, this time alongside Dylan Guichard, for the FIP Bronze Hop London.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
