Fiona Ligi / Charlotte Soubrié delivered one of the tournament's biggest performances. Facing the 2nd seed Chamli / Navarro Lopez (ranked 127th and 48th in the world), the French women prevailed at the end of a Huge fight: 1/6 7/6 7/5 .
Trailing after a difficult first set, they managed to completely reverse the situation demonstrating character and mental fortitude to secure a prestigious victory .
This victory clearly opens the door for them. In the quarter-finals, they will face Jovana Knezevic / Ana Belec , a match where they will leave favorites .
