Yoan Boronad and Thomas Vanbauce  stop in Lithuania just like  Louise Bahurel  in Ireland. The three French players were eliminated at the semi-final stage, but leave with positives and valuable points.

 Boronad/Vanbauce: an encouraging first outing in Kaunas 

Au  FIP Bronze Kaunas Boronad/Vanbauce were the last French players remaining after the early eliminations of Wagner/Raichman and Basso/Robert. For their first time playing together in an international tournament, they delivered a very solid performance all the way to the semi-finals.

Their background:

  •  1st round:  6-0, 6-1 against the Poska brothers
  •  Eighth:  victory 6/7 6/4 7/5 against Spurio / Stracquadanini
  •  Quarter:  6/1 6/1 against the lucky losers Levchuk / Yevdokimov

In the semi-final, the French faced a tough opponent:  Romera / García  (TS2).
Clear defeat  6 / 2 6 / 2 , in a match where they were dominated from start to finish. Yoan Boronad, in particular, was not at his best.

Despite this, the overall assessment remains very positive:
 a semi-final, consistency in the game, a successful first test… and 14 FIP points. 

We will find  Thomas Vanbauce  from next week at  FIP Silver Napoli , this time alongside  Julien Seurin .

 Louise Bahurel falls to a stronger opponent 

Au  FIP Bronze Ireland Louise Bahurel, partner of the Spanish  Ana Cristina Sánchez Pérez , lived up to its ranking as the No. 4 seed.

Their background:

  •  Eighth:  6 / 1 6 / 0
  •  Quarter:  6/3 6/0 vs Vierendees / Tordoff

Seulement  4 games conceded  in two matches, before a very tough semi-final against the overwhelming favorites  López Díaz / López López  (TS1).

The task was too great: defeat  6 / 1 6 / 3 , logical against two top 100 players, who imposed their rhythm from the start.

Despite this, Louise and her partner leave with:

  •  a semi-final ,
  •  14 new FIP points ,
  • and a great momentum before the  FIP Silver Napoli , where the pair will be aligned again.
