Philemon Raichman et Maxime Joris will have come close to the semi-finals at FIP Bronze La Plana, in Spain. After a great run and a stunning victory in the round of 16, the two French players stopped in quarterfinal, at the end of the suspense.

Facing the Spanish pair Gama Gonzalez / Vera Lopez, the tricolors bowed out 7/6 1/6 7/6, at the end of a thrilling match where every point counted. After losing the first set in a tiebreak, Raichman and Joris responded perfectly in the second set, winning 6/1. But the third set, tense and indecisive, once again eluded them in the tiebreak.

A cruel defeat, as the two Frenchmen were close to a semi-final together in this tournament.

Already performing well in La Plana, Philémon and Maxime will have a new chance to shine next week, on the occasion of FIP Silver of Bandol, where they will be particularly expected in front of their audience.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
