The  FIP Bronze Luxembourg qualifications  began yesterday in Schuttrange in the Sport4Lux hall, with a complicated entry for the French pairs.

Difficult start on Wednesday

Two French duos were involved in the first round:

  •  Maxime Hassid / Maxime Rigaud  won by default against the Luxembourger Ahmed Youssef and the Chilean Tomas Salvo, but lost in the next round against the Danes Emil Lilleøre madsen and Malthe Nielsen, 6/0 6/0.
  •  Quentin Vogel / Alexandre Weidmann  played their match well against the Belgians  Stef and Mats Priem , but bowed  6 / 2 7 / 5 , despite a more close second set.

Two chances this Thursday

It remains  two French pairs  in the race to hope to secure their ticket to the main draw:

  •  Olivier Guy de Chamisso / Pierre Perez Le Tiec  will face the fourth seed, the Dutch  Van Dijk / Cecchi ,  not before 11pm on court 1 .
  •  Romain Sichez / Julien Motz  will be opposed to the Belgians  Priem / Priem ,  at 11 p.m. on court 3 .

In case of victory, these two pairs will still have to go through a  decisive round  in the afternoon to validate their place in the final table of the tournament.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
