Le  FIP Bronze Marnes-la-Coquette , organized at  Forest Hill in Marnes-la-Coquette from September 1st to 5th will host a French association that is as unique as it is interesting:  Adrien Maigret and Romain Sichez  will join forces for this second edition of the tournament.

A pair  100% Parisian , composed of two players who already know the event particularly well since they both participated in the first edition, but with different partners.

Maigret had come very close to achieving this feat.

During the first edition,  Adrien Maigret , a former member of the French national team, had played alongside  Benjamin Tison The two Frenchmen had enjoyed a very good run to the quarter-finals, where they had pushed the fourth-seeded Spaniard to their limits.  Juan Zamora and Alejandro Garcia .

A particularly close match, ultimately lost by Maigret and Tison after three rounds:  4/6 6/3 7/5 .

In the previous round, this same Spanish pair had already caused damage to the French camp, having eliminated  Romain Sichez and Théo Suzanna  in the round of 16, with a resounding victory  6 / 2 6 / 0 .

For the record, the French revenge ultimately came from  Jérémy Robert and Olivier Guy de Chamisso , who defeated Zamora / Garcia in the semi-final.

Maigret on the right with Sichez?

Four months later, Adrien Maigret and Romain Sichez decided to join forces.

And their partnership could hold some tactical surprises.

The main question will obviously concern their position on the track.  Adrien Maigret has the unique ability to play equally well on the left or the right. Accustomed to adapting and changing sides depending on the configurations, he could thus leave the left side to Romain Sichez and position himself on the right.

But the two Parisians could also take advantage of this versatility to  break traditional positions , switch positions during the exchanges and offer a less predictable padel game to their opponents.

With Maigret's skill and experience, combined with Sichez's qualities, this pair could become  particularly difficult to maneuver .

After each trying their luck separately in the first edition,  Maigret and Sichez return together this time to Marnes-la-Coquette And this unprecedented partnership will certainly be one of the French pairs to watch at Forest Hill.
