At only 16 years,  Mario Belizón Barrionuevo and Manuel Ramírez Pérez  made an impression at the FIP Bronze Mondeville, organized at PadelShot Caen. These young Spanish talents almost pulled off a feat against the former members of the French team,  Adrien Maigret and Jérôme Inzerillo , falling just one point short of a place in the quarter-finals.

PadelShot Caen Mondeville conducted a little interview as we like them.

 A promising youth from Andalusia 

Mario, from San Fernando (Cádiz), and Manuel, from Andalusia, already have an impressive career for their age. Their passion for padel was transmitted to them by their relatives. "I started playing thanks to my father and my uncle, who were themselves passionate about padel," says Mario.

Manuel, also initiated by his father, progressed quickly: "I started training at the age of 6 and took part in competitions as soon as I joined the Andalusian and Spanish Federation."

Both young players have entered high-level tournaments, participating in national and international competitions. For Mario, the FIP Bronze Mondeville represented his first international tournament among adults, a challenge he took up brilliantly.

 Already some anecdotes 

With a touch of humor, Mario shares a funny anecdote: "Once, in Malaga, my partner and I bumped into each other after a lob from our opponents. He accidentally hit me on the head with his racket. We had a good laugh about that situation afterwards!"

The two young prodigies want to thank those who accompany them on a daily basis. "I train in San Fernando with Joma as a sponsor, and I am followed by a physical trainer, a psychologist and of course my coaches," explains Mario

Manuel, for his part, stresses the importance of his parents, coaches and sponsors: "Without them, none of this would be possible. I am very grateful to the organization of this tournament and to all those who support us."

Spanish padel can be pleased to have a new generation that is as ambitious as it is brilliant.

Ironically, their adventure ended against experienced players. But one thing is for sure: these two youngsters do not intend to stop there. Keep an eye on them, they could well become the future big names in padel.
