Further down the draw, a Franco-Belgian / Franco-Italian duel is also on the schedule for the round of 16.

Seurin and Luque master their entrance

The only French representative in the upper part of the table,  Julien Seurin  this week he is playing alongside the Portuguese  António Luque , with whom he forms the No. 3 seed in the tournament.

In their opening match, both men navigated a potentially tricky first round against the Spaniards perfectly.  Marc Casal / Marc Pastor A clear and decisive victory:  6 / 3 6 / 1 .

In the next round, Seurin and Luque will face the Dutch pair.  Pieter Hermus / Daan Jans  with the ambition of continuing their journey towards the quarter-finals.

Blanqué and Boronad want to regain confidence

In the lower part of the table,  Bastien Blanqué / Yoan Boronad , the No. 4 seeds, were keen to regain their confidence after their surprise defeat at  FIP Bronze Marnes  face  Adrien Maigret / Benjamin Tison .

Opposed to  Daniel Maldonado / Joa Takala The French had to work hard despite a seemingly comfortable score. They ultimately prevailed.  6 / 3 7 / 5  and secure their qualification for the round of 16.

Their next opponent will be the Spanish-Dutch pair  Imran Daniël / Gabriel Lara On paper, the French will start as favorites.

Guichard and Cassetta are favorites against Marie and Deloyer

At the very bottom of the draw, the round of 16 will offer an interesting confrontation between the Franco-Belgian pair  Jules Marie / Max Deloyer  and the No. 2 seed consisting of the Italian  Frame Cassetta  and French  Dylan Guichard .

Both teams have secured their place in this second round and will meet again this Saturday with a place in the quarter-finals at stake.

Even though Jules Marie and Max Deloyer will try to cause an upset, the advantage clearly seems to lie with  Cassetta / Guichard who approach this match as overwhelming favorites.
