Sad news for French padel. Despite  Two French players in the semi-finals None of them were able to reach the final.  Dylan Guichard  had to abandon following a  thigh injury  at the end of the first set. For his part,  Thomas Leygue  bowed to the  seeded 8 A little physically out of shape after his  eye injury  which occurred in the quarter-final the previous day against  Boronad / Blanqué .

That was too much for  Thomas Leygue and Alonso Rodriguez After a Friday marked by  two matches in three sets  facing the French  Yanis Muesser and Philémon Raichman  then facing  Yoan Boronad and Bastien Blanqué The number 2 seed lost to  Antonio Varo and Joel Olivera , seeded 8,  6 / 3 6 / 4 .

Unfortunately, it was a one-sided encounter where the two Spaniards...  dictated the rhythm  throughout the match. On the other side, Thomas Leygue appeared clumsy and his eye was still bothering him after his racket injury the previous day. Alonso Rodriguez, also below his usual standard, never managed to turn the tide of the match.

Another disappointment for the French with the injury of  Dylan Guichard Associated with  Belgian number one   Clement Geens The Franco-Belgian pair were forced to retire after losing the first set.  6/3 , following a  thigh strain  French.

A tough blow for the French number one, who was hoping to clinch a second title in  FIP Bronze , after the one won at  Wooden  in the Nederlands.

Faced with this withdrawal, the Spanish pair  Aragon / Moragues  qualifies for the final.

An all-Spanish final

Despite a strong French presence in the draw,  No Frenchman will compete in the final in Rivesaltes. Bad luck intervened with injuries to Dylan Guichard and Thomas Leygue, both hampered in these semi-finals.

The men's final will therefore pit two Spanish associations against each other and will be  to follow live on Padel MagTV , right after the women's final.
