There will be one  strong French presence in the round of 16  at the FIP Bronze Rivesaltes. On the  32 players still in contention (16 pairs) ,  18 are French i.e  more than half of the table  at this stage.

This is a significant event, probably  a first since the post-Covid era  to find such a high concentration of French players at this level of competition in the men's category.

 A massive… and tangible presence

At this stage of the competition,  8 French pairs are still in contention i.e  half of the teams present in the round of 16 .

Among them, several matches will directly pit French players against each other:

  •  Guy de Chamisso / Pillon vs Peloux / Perez Le Tiec
  •  Blanqué / Boronad vs Tison / Maigret

These two matches already guarantee a French presence in the next round.

Why are there at least two French pairs in the quarterfinals?

It's simple: in these two all-French duels, there will inevitably be  a French winner every time .

Result:  at least two French pairs will be in the quarter-finals .

And that's not all. Other French players are still in contention in open matches:

  •  Courrin / Seux
  •  Joris / Robert
  •  Raichman / Muesser
  •  Guichard / Geens
  •  Suzanna / Piombon

 A revitalized and favorable picture

The withdrawal of the number 1 seed has clearly reshuffled the deck, opening up opportunities in the upper part of the draw.

Some French pairs could therefore go even further, in a draw where the benchmarks have been turned upside down.

With  18 French players out of 32 ,  8 pairs still in contention , and  at least two pairs insured in the quarterfinals French padel confirms its depth and its ability to perform at home.
