The French shone again this week at  FIP Bronze Samui  in Thailand.
Si  Maxime Joris and Man Vives  saw their impressive run come to an end in the semi-finals.  Camille Sireix  She continues to dream of an international title after qualifying for the final.

Joris / Vives stopped by those stronger than them

The positive momentum continues nonetheless for  Maxime Joris and Man Vives .

Fresh from their title win in Singapore, the French had made a perfect start to their tournament before taking advantage of their opponents' withdrawal in the quarter-finals while they were leading.  6/2 5/7 3/1 .

In the semi-final, the level clearly rose a notch against the number 2 seed:
Sergio Icardo / Jordi Casanova Bataller .

Facing two higher-ranked players, including  Sergio Icardo The French, formerly ranked in the world's top 100, were defeated.  6 / 4 6 / 2 .

Despite this defeat, there are many positive takeaways from this week in Thailand:
A semi-final, accumulated rhythm and confirmations in the game for the French pair.

Joris and Vives will continue next week at  FIP Bronze Phangan where they will be seeded 6 with the ambition of reaching another semi-final… or even better.

 Camille Sireix continues to dream

In the ladies,  Camille Sireix  has had one of the best tournaments of his season.

Associated with the Spanish  Carmen Azcoita The Frenchwoman had made a perfect start with a swift victory.  6 / 1 6 / 1 .

But it was especially in the quarter-finals that they made a strong impact.

The French-Spanish pair eliminated the 2nd seed  Blanca Arriola Cerrejon / Nika Sluzhiteleva  on the score of  7 / 5 6 / 3 .

A great performance that clearly opened the floodgates.

 A well-deserved final

In the semi-final, Sireix and Azcoita lived up to expectations against the Japanese team.  Kae Tokumoto / Saki Tsukamoto .

Solid victory  7 / 6 6 / 3  to go and achieve a very good final in Thailand.

For the title, they will now face the number 1 seed:
Alba Perez Momha / Alba Gallardo Salvado .

On paper, the French and Spanish players will not be favorites, but given the level shown and the confidence accumulated since the start of the tournament, they will clearly have a chance.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
