Le FIP Bronze San Juan de Alicante began today in Spain with the launch of the qualifications, where a French pair was entered.

The two young 17-year-old Frenchmen, Tom Basso (1045) et Jeremy Robert (2144), won their first round against the Spaniards Aaron Picó Ortega (1736) and Daniel Martinez Rizo (2144) with a score of 6/1 7/6.

In the second round of qualifying, they will face Spaniards Ivan Boluda Pitarch and David Cañizares Illescas, who defeated the number 16 seed by a resounding 6-0 6-0 score. The match is scheduled for tomorrow in the second round of the day, around 11 a.m.

As a reminder, the main draw will begin this Friday, May 2, with two French players entered: Arthur Hugounenq, associated with the Italian Daniele Cattaneo, and Romain Sichez with the Spaniard Carlos Perez Cabeza.
