Le  FIP Gold of Belgrade  It all begins this Monday, August 24th, with the first round of qualifying. Before the big names in the main draw enter the competition,  ten French players divided into five pairs  will try to continue their journey in Serbia. Several French pairs even start this first day with seeded status.

Guy de Chamisso / Vives open the ball

First French skiers expected on the slopes  Olivier Guy de Chamisso and Manuel Vives , the 5th seeds in the qualifiers, will begin  starting at 10am on court 2 They will be up against the modest players.  Aleksandr Plotnikov and Pedro Salas On paper, the French will therefore be the clear favorites and will have a great opportunity to kick-start their week.

Robert and Joris reunited

Immediately afterward, on the same court,  Jérémy Robert and Maxime Joris  will enter the competition. They constitute the  seed 4 in qualifying  and will face the Slovenians  Ziga Kovacic / Jaka Rodošek , which together only have six FIP points.

A first round that is well within their reach on paper, with the objective of asserting their status and moving closer to the main draw. Their match is scheduled for  second rotation on court 2 .

Muesser / Hugounenq are the clear favorites for their entry

Another top-seeded French pair,  Yanis Muesser / Arthur Hugounenq (TS7)  will start in  third rotation on court 1 The French will face the home team.  Luka Vitosevic / Luka Sucevic , beneficiaries of a wild-card and who do not possess any FIP points.

With a place among the eight seeded players in these qualifiers, Muesser and Hugounenq will also have a status of favorites to confirm for their first meeting of the week.

Courrin/Seux face the first major French test

The draw, however, is significantly more challenging for  Nathan Courrin and Thomas Seux The French pair will face the... in their opening match.  seeded 3 Giuseppe Fino / Lorenzo Di Giovanni , respectively 215th and 202nd in the world.
A real test right from the first round for Courrin/Seux, who will have the opportunity to create the first big French upset of the week. The match is scheduled for  third rotation on court 2 .

Rubio / Iznasni to seize their chance

Finally  Raphael Rubio and Sami Iznasni  They too will be in the mix. The two French players start further down the qualifying rankings, but have been drawn into an interesting first round against the Hungarians.  Gergő Rendek / Balint Dobak who only have three points between them.

In total, these are  five French pairs  who will attempt to overcome this first obstacle on Monday. This first day could already allow the French players to move closer to a particularly challenging main draw, led notably by  Yanguas / Nieto and Stupaczuk / Sanz .
