Four French pairs are still in the running at  FIP Gold of Belgrade After a perfect first round with five wins in five matches, the French team almost repeated their success in the second round of qualifying. Only  Raphael Rubio and Sami Iznasni  were stopped, and by a very small margin.

The other four pairs are now only at  a victory in the main draw , including an all-French duel between  Yanis Muesser / Arthur Hugounenq  et  Nathan Courrin / Thomas Seux .

Guy de Chamisso / Vives confirm, the TS2 stands in their way

After their  6 / 0 6 / 0  of the first round,  Olivier Guy de Chamisso and Manuel Vives (TS5)  confirmed in front of  Horia Vladimir Nedelcu / Mikko Rouvala .

The French prevail  6 / 4 6 / 1  and continue their run without having conceded a single set.

The final round, however, will be significantly more challenging against the  2nd seed Fran Ramirez Navas / Michal Skonieczny A big match awaits the French, but the opportunity seems real. On paper,  Skonieczny appears to be the weakest of the four players , and Guy de Chamisso / Vives will clearly have a chance to join the main draw.

Robert/Joris are one match away from the bracket

 Jérémy Robert and Maxime Joris (TS4)  They too have perfectly lived up to their reputation.

Opposed to  Sergio Esteban Barroso / Vuk Velickovic They won in two sets,  6 / 4 6 / 3 and secure their place in the final round of qualifying.

They will find the  seeded 8 Bohdan Levchuk / Zé Alexandre Meireles , the one who defeated Rubio/Iznasni. On paper,  Robert and Joris will start as favorites  and have a real opportunity to join the main table of this FIP Gold.

Muesser / Hugounenq continue their flawless run

Second win in two matches as well for  Yanis Muesser / Arthur Hugounenq (TS7) .

After their 6-2, 6-2 victory in the first round, the French had to work harder in the first set against  Robert Florin Popescu / Dinu Serbanescu before setting sail:  7 / 5 6 / 2 .

They are now one win away from reaching the main draw. But they will have to eliminate another French pair to achieve this.

Courrin/Seux continue and will meet up with Muesser/Hugounenq

After their strong performance in the first round against the  seeded 3 Fino / Di Giovanni ,  Nathan Courrin and Thomas Seux  They did not tremble this time.

Opposed to  Oliver Szakacs / Andre Biro , they impose themselves  6 / 3 6 / 3  and confirm their very good start to the tournament.

The final round will therefore offer a  An all-French duel against Muesser / Hugounenq This is bad news, as one French pair will inevitably be eliminated, but it's also a certainty:  France will have at least one pair in the main draw .

Cruel defeat for Rubio / Iznasni

The only French elimination in this second round concerns  Raphael Rubio and Sami Iznasni .

After already battling through three sets in the first round, the French team had to endure another huge fight against...  Bohdan Levchuk / Zé Alexandre Meireles (TS8) .

This time, the outcome was unfavorable for them. Rubio and Iznasni lost after a nail-biting finish.  6/7 6/3 7/6 A defeat that was inevitably difficult to accept after coming so close to the final round of qualifying.

The overall assessment remains very positive:  Four of the five French pairs entered are still in the running Guy de Chamisso/Vives and Robert/Joris will try to secure their place, while the clash  Muesser / Hugounenq – Courrin / Seux  will already guarantee a French presence in the main draw of the FIP Gold in Belgrade.
