Le  FIP Tour  continues its schedule at a sustained pace. From  18 at 22 August 2026 , heading to Mexico and  saint Louis  for a new  FIP Gold , with  150 FIP ranking points promised to the winners  and an overall allocation announced at  60 000 euros .
With another FIP Gold tournament scheduled in Belgrade just days away, the Mexican tournament presents a great opportunity to pick up points. In the men's draw,  Alejandro Ruiz and Franco Dal Bianco  will start with the status of number 1 seed, ahead  Alex Chozas / Juan Ignacio Rubini  et  Alonso Rodriguez / Juan Ignacio De Pascual A table that will also include a 100% French pair:  Julien Biron / Thomas Basso .

Ruiz / Dal Bianco, an intriguing partnership

The top of the table will be led by  Alejandro Ruiz , ranked 22nd in the world, partnered with the Argentinian  Franco Da Bianco , 106rd.

Ruiz arrives in Mexico as the highest-ranked player in the tournament. He has already won a FIP Gold this season.  Ponta Delgada The Spaniard will be one of the main attractions of this Mexican week.

His partnership with Dal Bianco will be closely watched. The Argentinian, long accustomed to playing leading roles on the A1 circuit Padel, finds here the opportunity to test himself against a challenging FIP draw alongside a player established at the top of the world rankings.

Their first match will be against the Mexican wild card team.  José Pablo Garza de la Peña / Santiago Castro Recio .

Chozas / Rubini in the other half of the painting

At the very bottom of the table,  Alex Chozas / Juan Ignacio Rubini  logically constitute the other pair to watch.

Chozas, ranked 32nd in the world, and Rubini, ranked 68th, combine  2 978 points , which is only 172 less than Ruiz / Dal Bianco.

The two Argentinians have the significant advantage of being drawn opposite the favorites. Therefore, they can only face Ruiz and Dal Bianco in the final.

Before getting to that point, their initial meeting will be faced with  Nicolás Crosio / Matías Emiliano Gutiérrez .

Behind the top two seeds,  Alonso Rodriguez / Juan Ignacio De Pascual (TS3)  et  Álvaro Meléndez Amaya / José Luis González (TS4)  complete the quartet of theoretically best-equipped pairs. The eight top seeds are completed by  Diego Arredondo García / Agustín Torre (TS5) ,  Gustavo Nunes / Anton Sans (TS6) ,  Juan Pablo Dametto / Felipe Calleja (TS7)  et  Pablo Sánchez Vicente / Ignacio Archieri (TS8) .

Biron/Basso, the French card in San Luis

There will also be particular interest on the French side with the presence of  Julien Biron and Thomas Basso .

The two Frenchmen appeared in  15th position , with Biron ranked 311th in the world and Basso 368th at the time of its publication.

But the situation will become complicated immediately.

Biron and Basso are indeed located in the part of the table of the  seeded 8, Pablo Sánchez Vicente / Ignacio Archieri The French will play them from the round of 16 onwards.

FIP Gold San Luis: Ruiz/Dal Bianco favorites, Biron and Basso in the draw in Mexico

A very international scene, but with a strong Argentinian and Mexican presence.

Behind the main European headliners,  Argentinians and Mexicans occupy a large part of the table .

Mexico has several representatives directly integrated into the main draw, in addition to players from the qualifiers and wild cards.

The pair  Diego Arredondo García / Agustín Torre , seeded 5, is particularly worth watching: the Mexican Arredondo will be playing with the Argentinian Torre,  66th in the world which makes him one of the highest-ranked players present in San Luis.

Another interesting association:  Gustavo Nunes / Antón Sans , seeded 6. The Portuguese and the Spaniard are in the lower half of the draw, the half of Chozas / Rubini.

150 points that can have a significant impact

The stakes are far from trivial. The tournament's scoring system stipulates  8 points in the first round, 14 for the round of 16, 25 for the quarterfinals, 50 for the semifinals, 90 for the final, and 150 for the title .

In a calendar where every result can count in the ranking race, a FIP Gold therefore represents an important opportunity, particularly for players located behind the elite of the Premier Padel.

After San Luis, the circuit will continue with another  FIP Gold in Belgrade before the return of  Premier Padel Tour .

In San Luis, the hierarchy is clear on paper:  Ruiz/Dal Bianco and Chozas/Rubini start ahead But behind them, the field leaves room for several outsiders. And on the French side,  Julien Biron and Thomas Basso will have  a big first test against the 8th seed.
