After the success of the  FIP Gold Lyon 2024 , the competition is moving upmarket with the arrival of the  FIP Platinum Lyon , expected from  13 to 19 October This new, even more prestigious tournament promises a high-level spectacle and confirms the growing enthusiasm for the  padel in France .

 A rise in power after an intense FIP Gold 

The edition  2024 FIP Gold Lyon  offered breathtaking finals, like the confrontation between the  gentlemen , where it was necessary  three sets  to see the Spanish  Jairo Bautista and Francisco Guerrero  triumph over the pair  Argentina  made of  Leo Augsburger and Alex Chozas  (6-4, 6-7, 6-4).

At the  Women , the duel was more expeditious.  Lorena Rufo and Beatriz Caldera  dominated the final in  two sets , taking the best of the  number 1 seeds ,  Alejandra Alonso and Andrea Ustero . A solid performance which confirmed the rise in power of the Spanish duo, already winners at  Valladolid .

 A tournament of international scope 

Le  FIP Platinum Lyon  marks a turning point in the structuring of the international circuit in France. By moving to a category  Platinum , the event attracts a  even more prestigious player board , with FIP points and rewards commensurate with its status.

After taking up residence at  Gerland Sports Palace , Lyon is establishing itself as a key destination on the world circuit. This tournament represents a unique opportunity for the  French public  to see some of the best pairs on the circuit evolve, while confirming the rapid development of the  padel in France .
