The Spanish adventure ended in the quarter-finals for the French pair Arthur Hugounenq / Jérôme Inzerillo, seeded 3rd in the tournament. The French duo was surprised by the wild card Arnau Candelo Casas (1261) / Romà Busquets Picañol (unclassified).

Earlier in the day, three Frenchmen had left the main draw. In the women's competition, Steffi Merah et Marie-Amelie Dardaine had given in to the 4th seed, Carla Fernandez Gonzalez (205) and Giulia Dal Pozzo (146), with the harsh score of 6/1 6/1.

The Franco-Belgian pair, Yoan Boronad et Isaac huysveld, had also been eliminated in two sets by Jaume Romera Barcelo (186) and Diego Dorte Diaz (223), seeded 4.

Only Arthur Hugounenq and Jérôme Inzerillo managed to qualify against Alejandro Merino Nieto (575) and Joaquin Bastos Veltri (993): 6 / 4 6 / 4. But, during the quarter-final, things did not necessarily go as planned… and the French lost. 6 / 3 6 / 4 against Candelo Casas / Busquets Picañol.

Gwenaelle Souyri

It was her brother who one day told her to accompany him to a padel court, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the retransmission of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
