A few days ago, the FIP specified the contours of its new international circuit. This new circuit replace the World Padel Tour in the FIP calendar. At least ten new tournaments will be organized by the new FIP/QSI Tour this year. Among these tournaments, there will be four category 1 competitions, the highest category. The first event in this category will take place at Doha, Qatar, from March 28 to April 2. This type of tournament can be compared to “Grand Slams”, distributing 2000 points to the winners and offering a prize money of €525.

For Paquito Navarro, 3rd player in the world, this new circuit is “a big step forward” for the development of this sport. Recognizing the work done by the WPT in recent years, the Andalusian intends to play both circuits this year.

As for the destinations of the other “Grand Slams”, the president of the FIP did not hesitate to make our mouths water. ”The four category 1 tournaments will be our Grand Slams and I am convinced that one of them will be organized in Italy. We are at a turning point for the whole world of padel", underlined Luigi Carraro.

After being rocked by tennis for nearly 15 years, I became an absolute fan of its cousin, the padel. For nearly a year now, I've been chasing the little yellow ball with another racquet, but with just as much passion! Based in Lyon, I intend to make you better acquainted with the padel in the region and at the national level.
