Little sensation at the FIP Rise Bandol with the qualification ofArthur Hugounenq et Timeo Fonteny for the quarter-finals of the tournament. The duo won against their compatriots, Julien Seurin et Maxime Moreau (TS3), at the end of a huge three-set fight: 6/2 3/6 6/1.

It was a mental victory for the Hugounenq / Fonteny pair who, after a very good first set, were caught by the favorites of the match, who managed to show a better image of themselves. It was a first tournament for Julien Seurin and Maxime Moreau, who were both trying a new combination... and which didn't necessarily work.

Arthur and Timéo were in “mode”recital” with big defenses and powerful smashes, despite the fairly slow conditions of the track. Timéo Fonteny will have every interest in remaining in this good dynamic since he is heading to Aix to play the French U18 Championships.

With this performance, Timéo Fonteny will relaunch himself in the race for selection at the Doha Worlds. Conversely, this poor performance from Julien Seurin (or even Maxime Moreau) will not necessarily do their business.

Arthur and Timéo will play again this evening, not before 20 p.m., facing another 100% French pair, Bastien Blanqué et Maxime Joris (TS5). A meeting that you can follow on Padel MagTV :

Gwenaelle Souyri

It was her brother who one day told her to accompany him to a padel court, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the retransmission of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
