Bastien Blanqué et Maxime Joris (TS5) won at 6/4 6/1 against Tom Basso et Julien Biron au Bandol FIP during the 8th finals. A masterful performance for this unique pair, specially put together for this tournament.

This Blanqué / Joris pair will have a game to play in their quarter-final, facing Arthur Hugounenq et Timeo Fonteny, who took out the 3rd seed, Julien Seurin and Maxime Moreau.

Post-match reactions:

Bastien Blanqué: "Difficult conditions compared to the beachside terrain. It's a very fast pitch, you can't go out, with windows that stick out a lot, and two players who hit very well. The first set was very hard. Afterwards, we managed to put our game in place. We won the second one quite easily. It's a young pair who will play very well in the coming years. We struggled, but we played well. We have felt good since yesterday with Max on the pitch and we are adapting well to the conditions."

Maxime Joris: “We played a little bit at the French team’s training camp and I loved playing with him. We said to ourselves that this was an opportunity to try it out together. He kindly called me to make me his offer and it's very difficult to refuse. I am happy with this association. He really puts me at ease whether on or off the pitch, we get along well, we have a good feeling and I think that helps to manage the pressure.”

Their quarter-final to find, not before 20 p.m.. Meeting on Padel MagTV to watch the match live.
