A cruel defeat for Bastien Blanqué et Maxime Joris, released in two sets by Marco Cassetta and Alvaro Montiel (TS1) during the last semi-final of the day FIP Rise Bandol. The French, although convincing on the track, ended up giving in to one of the favorite pairs of the tournament... and therefore let the hope of a final disappear.

A defeat all the more cruel as the first set was literally played to one point between these two teams. The Blanqué / Joris pair scored 35 point… Cassetta / Montiel, 36. This set point won at 7/6 (5) while no break point had been conceded in the first set. A big blow to the head for the French pair.

However, Maxime and Bastien came back stronger on the track, with a break won from the start. Despite a break, they once again regained the advantage. However, on a big defense from Alvaro Montiel, who even finished on the ground, the French were caught once again... before being broken on the last service game of this match...

Final score: 7/6 (5) 6/4.

Alvaro Montiel and Marco Cassetta therefore offer themselves a place in the final of this FIP Rise Bandol. They will meet their runners-up in the rankings, Pol Hernandez Alvarez / Ramiro Valenzuela (TS2).

The ladies final will be followed from 10 h in Bandol, followed by the men's final. As always, visit Padel MagTV to attend these last two meetings:

It was his brother who one day told him to accompany him on a track. padel, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the broadcast of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
