At the FIP Rise in Cairo, the 3 French players participating in this tournament in Egypt surprisingly had to work hard from the round of 16 against local pairs. It was first on track 1 that the Franco-Dutch pair, Raichman / Roper, won against the Egyptian pair Makhlouf / Skokeir in two sets: 7/6 6/3. A little later on court 2, the 100% French pair of this tournament, Vanbauce / Hugounenq, defeated Tarek / Nagy in two sets as well: 6/2 7/6.

For Raichman / Roper, there is no choice, they will have to play a very big match in the 8th finals to overcome the tournament's seed 1, the Italian pair Sinicropi / Di Giovanni. For Vanbauce / Hugounenq, the tournament's seed 7, Melero Bernal / Tur Chevo seems more within the reach of the French pair, even if obviously, after this first warm-up round, they will have to offer a very good padel to continue the adventure.
