Johan Bergeron et Maxime Moreau qualified yesterday for the final of the FIP Rise Cairo, after their victory in two sets in the quarter and semi-final! They will try to lift the cup, this Saturday 6 April, during the final.

Johan and Maxime, who were the last French representatives in Egypt, started their day against Youssef Hossam (260) and Ariel Williams Carrasco Paricollo (507). The French maneuvered this meeting, without losing a single set, with a break in advance in each set. They won 6/4 6/4 and qualified for the last four.

The French played again later, more during the night than during the day, against seed 5 of this tournament: Joel Olivera Palos (235) and Dylan Demian Cuello (209). This time, the frenchies had to struggle to get out of this Spanish-Argentinian trap. Despite a victory in two sets, the French fought, at a late hour in very poor conditions (lots of humidity): 7 / 6 7 / 5.

Tonight, the French will meet their dolphins : Christian Medina Murphy (132) and Belar Vera Lopez (126). The match will be followed just after the women's final, which will start at 20 p.m. The meetings should be broadcast on the FIP Youtube channel.

Gwenaelle Souyri

It was her brother who one day told her to accompany him to a padel court, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the retransmission of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
