The French are in the spotlight this weekend. This time it is Thomas Leygue , Together with Clement Geens , who lift a cup, that of FIP Rise Mol . The Franco-Belgian pair were shaken during the semi-final but showed their fangs in the final, allowing them to claim the title.
The first meeting of the morning was complicated for the 1st seed in the tournament. Facing Riccardo Sinicropi and Lorenzo Di Giovanni (TS3), the Geens / Leygue pair escaped a trap match in three sets. A success 6/3 1/6 6/1 which allowed him to qualify for the final.
In this last match, Clément and Thomas played against their runners-up, Marcos Cordoba and Candido Jorge Alfaro (TS2). A much easier victory for the Franco-Belgian pair who even won in the first round, inflicting a 6/0 on the Spanish duo. In the end, a clear score, 6/0 6/4 , and the title for Clément Geens and Thomas Leygue.
Second title for France on the international circuit today. Earlier today, these were Carla Touly and Jessica Ginier who overthrew the 1 seed, Perez / Dominguez, at FIP Rise Bandol and offered themselves a second title this season.
It was her brother who one day told her to accompany him to a padel court, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the retransmission of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
