The Italian FIP Rise of Sassuolo, near Modena, continues today with three French representatives to follow in the 1/16th finals in the morning.
Martin/Dardaine face a pair combining youth and experience
Victorious yesterday in three sets (6/4 2/6 6/1) in their first round against the Italian-Brazilian pair Chiara Martini and Helena Rousselent Novillo, Mélissa Martin and Marie-Amélie Dardaine are playing the tournament's second seed this morning. They will have a lot to do against this pair composed of the young Letizia Manquillo Alarza (2 years old and already 19th in the FIP rankings) and the experienced Arantxa Soriano Perez (67 years old, 34th in the FIP). Come on girls!
Vives: towards a quarter-final against Cassetta/Montiel?
For his part, Man Vives (TS7 alongside his Spanish partner Eneko Arija Ochoa de Alda) will face Alejandro Calvo Perez and José Montalban Martin. If we follow the logic of the ranking, Vives/Arija Ochoa is the favorite in this game and could face in the quarter-finals TS2 Cassetta/Montiel, recent winner of the FIP Rise in Bandol.
To be continued !
