The young French pair composed of  Timeo Fonteny , 18 years old (226th), and  Yoan Boronad , 17 years old (267th), achieved a good performance at the  FIP Silver Andalusia  by eliminating in the second round two players from the world Top 70, winners of a tournament this season  Premier Padel .

The Tricolores won in two sets,  7 / 5 6 / 3 Facing  Diego Garcia , 19 years old (67th), and  Francisco Cabeza , 17 years old (57th), seeded number 5 in the tournament played in Spain.

This victory is all the more significant as it comes against a pair on the rise.  Head / Garcia  were revealed to the general public during the  Gijón Premier Padel P2 , where they had created a surprise by winning the competition against  Los Magicos ,  Aguirre  et  Alfonso , in the final. A tournament however marked by the absence of the best players on the circuit, due to a boycott, but which allowed them to gain valuable points in the ranking. They also won the  FIP Bronze Torchio  in Caen at the start of the year and reached the semi-finals of the  FIP Silver BMW MARMOTOR  last month. A pair among the rising stars of Spanish padel.

For  Boronad  et  Fonteny , this success against higher ranked opponents confirms their progress. After an eighth final at  FIP Silver Leiria  and a quarter-final at  FIP Silver of Rome , the French once again reach the quarterfinals. They will face the winner of the match between the number 3 seed  Teodoro Zapata / Jose Jimenez Casas  and the pair  Nacho Moragues Moltò / Marc Sintes Villalonga .
