The men's semi-finals of the FIP Silver Bandol delivered their verdict this Sunday morning in very windy conditions, and designated the two finalists who will meet around 17 p.m. on the central court, live on Padel MagTV.
Cepero / Torre: experience and composure
Pair Opposites Romera / Gonzalez Blanco, Álvaro Cepero and Eduardo Agustín Torre (seeded 3) had a tricky match. Pushed around from the start of the encounter, they struggled to impose their game and logically conceded the first set. 6/3.
In an equally complicated second set, Cepero and Torre held on despite saving a match point at 5/6 in the tiebreak. They ultimately came out on top. 8-6 in the tiebreaker, mentally. The third act turned to their advantage: their opponents, worn out, dropped in intensity, and the 3rd seed took advantage of this to unfold and conclude 6/3.
Hernandez / Collado: rigor and efficiency
In the other semi-final, Pol Hernandez and Guillermo Collado (seed 6) dominated with authority Emilio Sanchez and Daniel Santigosa (TS7). Very well adapted to the playing conditions, Hernandez distributes the game with precision while Collado is clean and opportunistic.
With a break in each round, they win 6 / 3 6 / 3 without ever trembling.
