Le  main board  du  FIP Silver Caltanissetta ,  Italy , started this  Friday April 4 , with many  Tricolors  engaged. Entry defeats for  Carla Toully  and the pair  Blanqué / Bergeron .

 Carla Toully  (84th) and his Spanish partner  Ana Dominguez Gracia  (76th) bowed out sharply in two sets (6/3 6/1) against the pair  Sara Pujals Perez  (73th) /  Daiara Agustina Valenzuela  (105th). A  frustrating defeat , especially since the rankings suggested a more balanced duel.

 Setback for Blanqué / Bergeron 

Big disappointment for the pair too  Bastien Blanqué  (107th) /  Johan Bergeron  (114th), yet in great form after two recent titles in  FIP Bronze The French were eliminated from the  first round  after a three-set fight: 4/6 6/2 6/2 against the Spanish pair  Iago Fuertes Leonardo  (1938th) /  Ricardo Martinez  (176th). Clearly, the Frenchman Bastien Blanqué was ill, perhaps explaining this poor performance.

 Hugounenq and Guimet Bigas, the story of the day! 

Nice surprise of the day with  Arthur Hugounenq  (270e) and  Sergi Guimet Bigas  (233rd). Eliminated in  third round of qualifying , they were  fished out  in extremis following a forfeit… and have  seized their chance  !
The pair  Franco-Spanish  won in two solid sets (6/3 6/2) against  Gerard Gimeno Centelles  (522th) /  Jairo Rueda  (491st). A great start for these “lucky losers”  became winners .

On the  short Rahal ,  6nd rotation ,  Maxime Joris  (168th) /  Guilem Figuerola Santiago  (158th) will challenge the pair  Pau Minano Ortinez  (195th) /  Antonio Varo Ramos  (192e).

On the  short Svevo ,  7nd rotation ,  Léa Godallier  (58th) /  Sandra Bellver Fructuoso  (56th) will face the pair  Lorena Vano  (70th) /  Claudia Escacena Montero  (121e).
