Yesterday was not a good day for  French players competing on the FIP circuit all eliminated after their matches. But the French team will have new cards to play this Friday with  Léa Godallier, Thomas Vanbauce and Nathan Pillon who will try to continue their journey in their respective tournaments.

The French are stopped in the first round at Espoo

Despite their status  pair 10 ,  Seurin  (176e)  / Bergeron  (181st) had not inherited an obvious first round against the  5th seed, Romera  (121e)  / Moragues  (120th). And the hierarchy was finally respected, with a  straight defeat 6/2 6/2  For the French, who therefore exit the tournament as soon as they entered the competition. A setback they will need to quickly digest before turning their attention to the...  upcoming deadlines .

More bad news for the French team with the  Sireix package  (134e)  and De Vocht  (162nd). After a difficult first set, the duo responded perfectly to get back into the match, before finally succumbing in a hard-fought third set:  6/1 3/6 6/4 A frustrating defeat at the end of a match where they managed to push their opponents to the very end.

Godallier, France's last hope in Espoo

 Godallier  (53e)  and Valenzuela  (58e)  seeded 1  And the tournament's overwhelming favorites represent France's last hope in Espoo, and a significant one at that. Exempt from the first round, they will make their  entered directly into the round of 16  face  Leinus  (240e)  / Tordoff  (217th), pair 14th in the tournament. A match well within their grasp on paper to kickstart their run.  If they win, Godallier and Valenzuela will immediately follow up with their quarter-final match in the afternoon. , for a day that could therefore quickly intensify.

Porto Sant'Elpidio: Marquet/Lefèvre eliminated, Vanbauce and Pillon take their place

After an initial victory in qualifying,  Marquet  (518e)  and Lefevre  (1443rd), seeded 2, failed at  final round of qualifying  face  Oya / Miras A particularly tricky pair despite its  0 FIP points displayed on the counter  : a ranking that is often misleading for these Spanish players, who are still relatively unknown on the international circuit, and whom one must always be wary of. The French have learned this the hard way and are thus seeing the doors of the  main board  close just before they enter.

 Vanbauce  (224th) and his Argentinian partner  Nicocia  (246th), pair 15th in the tournament, will make their debut this Friday against a tough opponent: the  second seed, Rubio  (42e)  / Ruiz  (42nd). A draw that is obviously far from easy for the Franco-Argentine pair, who will approach this match with little pressure. An opportunity to seize their chance and, why not, to  to come and worry one of the tournament's top pairs .

The draw was no less lenient.  pillion  (335e)  and the Belgian Deloyer  (492nd). Seeded 22nd in the tournament, the Franco-Belgian duo will have to face the challenge right from their opening match against the  6th seed, Figuerola  (109e)  / Belmont  (107th). On paper, the task ahead looks daunting, but Pillon and Deloyer have everything to gain in a match where the pressure will be more on their opponents. It's up to them to try to  shake up the hierarchy  and to seize their chance to extend their Italian adventure.
