Le FIP Tour Things are moving at a slower pace this week, with a single host site in the program : Wadi El Natrun , in Egypt. Two tournaments are being held there:
- un FIP Silver gentlemen
- un FIP Bronze ladies
A lighter schedule, but one that offers real opportunities to the French players committed to racking up points and launching (or confirming) their season's momentum.
Fonteny / Bergeron, continuity after Marseille
On the men's side, all eyes are on Timeo Fonteny (184) et Johan Bergeron (184), which we had left in Marseille on a very positive rating .
During the FIP Platinum event, they had signed a victory reference facing a pair of world top 100 , beating Diego Garcia (47ᵉ) and Adrian Marquez (100ᵉ).
A success synonymous with confidence and validation of the work done. In Wadi El Natrun, Fonteny and Bergeron will be seeded 6 of the FIP Silver, with a good playing card in an affordable format. The goal is clear: to go far and accumulate valuable FIP points .
Rafael Marquet also involved
Another Frenchman will be present in the men's draw: Rafael Marquet (552), associated with the Luxembourger Clement Pelt (413)
Martin / Sireix to launch their season
On the FIP Bronze ladies Only one French pair will be competing: Melissa Martin (145th in the world) and Camille Sireix (143ᵉ).
The two French women remain on a period somewhat mixed feelings , but this tournament represents a a good opportunity to start over on a better footing Seeded 7, they will have a playable table and will try to get their international season off to a good start.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
