The French experienced a day of contrasts at  FIP Silver Höganäs  in Sweden, with two pairs still in contention as they approach the quarter-finals.

Joris and Robert confirm their excellent week

Having already delivered a very strong performance in the previous round by eliminating the 6th seed,  Maxime Joris and Jérémy Robert  continued their momentum.

Opposed to the Swede  Douglas Rutgersson  and to the Portuguese  Diogo Jesus The two French players delivered a solid performance to win in two sets:  6 / 4 6 / 4 .

Another convincing victory that allows them to reach the quarter-finals and confirm their very good momentum this week in Sweden.

The challenge now looks much greater since Joris and Robert will be returning to the  seeded 2 , the Spaniards  Francisco Gil / Manuel Castaño Salguero , who defeated Biron / Basso (6/2 6/4) for a place in the final four.

 Bergeron and Fonteny without playing

On their side,  Johan Bergeron and Timéo Fonteny  did not need to set foot on the track to reach the quarter-finals.

The 5th seed benefited from the  Guillaume Duprat and Bilal Duprat have withdrawn from the contract. , thus directly validating his ticket for the next round.

The French will, however, have a tough challenge ahead in the quarter-final against the  seeded 3 , composed of the Spanish  Marc Sintes Villalonga  et  David Santiagosa Sastre , winners of their round of 16 match with a score of  6 / 1 6 / 3 .

Vives and Guy de Chamisso stopped

The step was too high for  Manuel Vives and Olivier Guy de Chamisso .

Opposed to the Swedes  Simon Vasquez and Daniel Windahl Seeded 7th and buoyed by their home crowd, the French suffered a resounding defeat.  6 / 1 6 / 2 .

A logical elimination against one of the most dangerous pairs in the draw.

 The quarter-finals program

Two French pairs will therefore be present in the quarterfinals:

  •  Maxime Joris / Jérémy Robert  vs  Francisco Gil / Manuel Castaño Salguero (TS2)
  •  Johan Bergeron / Timéo Fonteny (TS5)  vs  Marc Sintes Villalonga / David Santiagosa Sastre (TS3)

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
